PDA / Demand Avoidance

Reduce pressure, increase understanding

Everyday requests may bring refusal, negotiation or distress. Needing control, inflexible expectations and transitions can feel hard. We explore demands, anxiety and capacity, then find low-demand approaches that reduce pressure and support autonomy.

Sensory & Regulation

Consultation £55 · With written summary £75

I don’t start by asking, “How do we stop the behaviour?”

I start by asking, “What might the behaviour be communicating?”

Understanding the WHY is central to my approach. We explore overwhelm, noise sensitivity, movement seeking, difficulty settling, after-school dysregulation and signs that capacity is running low.

Practical, non-clinical support to understand sensory load.

Consultation + Tailored Sensory Resources — £150.

Communication & Choice

Make communication more accessible

Asking for help, expressing needs or making choices can be harder when your child is overwhelmed. “I Want” boards, communication keyrings and clear choices offer practical ways to communicate when words are difficult.

Routines & Transitions

Build predictability without pressure

Mornings, leaving the house, school, bedtime, waiting or a change of plan can feel hard. Now & Next boards, personalised routines and daily-living or toileting visuals help show what happens next, without adding pressure.

Emotional Regulation

Regulation before reasoning

Start with body signals and recognising overwhelm. Together we build practical regulation tools and co-regulation support before expecting complex emotion language. Regulation comes before reasoning, with room for masking and after-school collapse.
